The biggest date night of the year is coming up, and the city’s restaurants are pulling out all the stops so you and your date can celebrate in style this Valentine’s Day.

We’ve picked out some great deals and romantic specials for a perfect Valentine’s Day dinner 2022 in Chicago. Keep in mind that you’ll need a mask and proof of vaccination when dining indoors.

Geja’s Cafe: Known as one of the most romantic spots in the city, Geja’s diners can enjoy the full fondue experience, including beef tenderloin, lobster tail, chocolate, champagne, and more.

Virtue: “Love is a virtue” is the theme of the Valentine’s Day meal meal at this Hyde Park spot, featuring three Southern-inspired courses and a bottle of sparkling rosé.

Roister: Reserve a place at the hearth for a fiery Valentine’s Day dinner in the West Loop, featuring a four-course menu.

Volo Restaurant Wine Bar: It’s a wine-lovers Valentine’s Day at this contemporary American spot, with a prix fixe menu with hand-picked wine pairings.

CLAUDIA: This new tasting menu experience is offering a luxurious feast for Valentine’s Day weekend, including caviar and Wagyu beef.

Z Bar: The bar inside the luxe Peninsula Hotel is bringing the romance with rosé champagne, caviar-based canapes ,and a red rose as a parting gift.

BLVD steak Oysters from Andros Taverna

TenGoku Aburika: Enjoy a seven-course omakase experience, at this Japanese gastropub helmed by a Michelin-starred chef.

Demera Ethiopian: Experience the classic flavors of Ethiopia with Demera’s super-shareable messobs (combinations plates of favorite dishes).

RPM Seafood: Make it a bubbly Valentine’s Day with this wine dinner featuring selections from Veuve Clicquot and plenty of indulgent seafood dishes.

Elizabeth: Get a taste of “new gatherer” cuisine during this one-of-a-kind, ten-course dining experience, created specially for Valentine’s Day.

The Dearborn: The perfect spot for a pre-theatre dinner, The Dearborn will be serving a three-course rock and roll-inspired tasting menu.

BLVD Steakhouse: This stunning space will be serving a three-course dinner menu with lobster bisque and filet mignon, plus champagne specials. 

Pizzeria Portofino: It’s hard to think of a better combo than pizza and prosecco. Enjoy a bottle of bubbly, pizza, and a flower arrangement at this riverfront spot.

Pigtail: This intimate speakeasy, the first from acclaimed chef José Andrés, is offering a curated Spanish tasting experience, with five courses, four cocktails, and three wines.

Wood: Indulge in a multi-course tasting menu, crafted with seasonal ingredients from local farms and house-butchered meats.

14 Parish Rhum Bar: This Valentine’s Day, get a taste of the Caribbean in Chicago at 14 Parish. Enjoy island-inspired dishes and a creative menu of rum cocktails.

Valentine’s Day dinner cruise: It’s all about the views on these luxurious dinner cruises, whether you’re sailing the river or lakefront.

Aji: The Valentine’s Day special at this upscale sushi spot includes 14 courses of nigiri and other exciting bites.

Kitchen + Kocktails: This new spot in River North has earned rave reviews for their food, with a menu of creative comfort food and Southern classics.

BOKA: This classic spot is serving a special nine-course tasting menu to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with wine pairing and expertly crafted cocktails. 

Demera Ethiopian Cuisine

The Bristol: Spend a magical evening inside The Bristol’s romantic greenhouses, where you can dine on American fare in a climate controlled setting.

Ken Kee: You and your date can enjoy traditional Cantonese dishes and Hong Kong cart noodles at this longtime Chinatown star.

Andros Taverna: This modern Greek spot has crafted a la carte Valentine’s Day specials designed to be shared, like oysters and caviar and black truffle biftekia.

Temporis: Indulge in a 10-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings (plus some surprise touches for Valentine’s Day) inside the Temporis dining room.
